Skye Tarr moved to the Savannah, Georgia area over six years ago.  Her painting training consisted of mostly still lifes, but her new southern address has inspired her to explore seascapes and landscapes. 

Like most artists, Skye’s interest in art began at an early age. However, her love and interest in art was refined at Swarthmore College.  As she completed the requirement for a BA in Biology, she took the equivalent of a minor in art.  A corporate career in consulting followed college and over the years, marriage, work, and eventually motherhood lead her back to oil painting. 

Skye has lived in Philadelphia, Atlanta, and Bloomington, Indiana.  Now she splits her time between Savannah and Anchorage, Kentucky.

Skye is a member of the Landings Art Association on Skidaway Island.
